Classroom Courses
Start in August
The bridge courses start in August and end shortly before lectures begin. You can freely determine which courses you would like to take. You can also register for two courses that overlap each other, and then later leave one early.
Basic Course: University Studies – the Transition Made Easy
The Basic Course: University Studies offers orientation tips and tricks to new RWTH students in addition to the preparatory bridge courses.

Online Math Course
Our online mathematics bridge course (OMB) is available to you for the whole year.
hm4mint.nrw – Online Course Higher Mathematics I
A new online course involving multiple universities has been developed by RWTH Aachen University and FH Aachen as part of the Online Institutions NRW initiative. The hm4mint.nrw course is designed for both pupils and students. Providing they pass the course, it means they start their studies with the advantage of already having acquired credit points.

Tips
Participation without Study Placement Acceptance
You can also participate in our bridge course even if you have not receive acceptance for a study placement in the NC process. Documentation of enrollment is not required.
Costs
Participation in the courses is voluntary and free of charge.
Dining Hall
You can eat in the Aachen Student Services dining halls for the student price during the bridge courses, if you show your participation confirmation.
Public Transport Ticket for Bus and Railway
You can purchase a public transport ticket (de), which is valid for the duration of the bridge course, from the AStA Students' Committee. It will be available from the beginning of the course – either at the lecture hall (in the first two course days) or from the AStA Office.
When purchasing the ticket, you will need to present your participation certificate, which you receive during the first course session. Please note that it is not possible to obtain the participation ticket in advance.
Parking Permit
You can obtain a parking permit for the duration of the bridge course. The permit can obtained from the General Students' Committee, AStA for short. You can get more information about the parking permits either in your bridge course or directly from AStA.
