MINT EC Camp at TEER: Sustainability in Resource Engineering
From April 18-21 TEER participated in the MINT EC Camp. The camp offers students from the MINT-EC network the opportunity to deal with current topics in theory and in practice.
The event was organized by the Division of Mineral Resources and Raw Materials Engineering. The overarching topic of the camp was "Sustainability in Resource Engineering". In total, 20 students were introduced to the entire raw materials cycle from extraction to recycling using the example of a cell phone in a series of exciting workshops and experiments. In addition, the students participated in a guided tour of the campus and in various lectures at RWTH Aachen University.
On the second day, our scientific staff members Isabel Kaphahn and Alexandra Brautlacht gave a lecture on "Thermal Waste Recycling" and then, together with the students, carried out a determination of volatile components in the technical center.
On the last day of the MINT-EC camp, the students gave exciting presentations on the individual topics of the week.
Thank you to everyone involved in the organization of the event and to all students who participated!
