TEER at the "5 to 12" RWTH Science Night
TEER will participate in the event "5 to 12" RWTH Science Night on November 9, 2018 in the mining building. In addition to other institutes of the Division of Mineral Resources and Raw Materials Engineering, the two other divisions of the Faculty 5 (Georesources and Materials Engineering) will also be represented. All institutes present exhibits on current research topics and thus give visitors an impression of their scientific activities. TEER will present a process for the separation of the particulate matter from flue gas from small biomass furnaces. Visitors will be shown and explained, how the particulate matter can be removed from a gas stream by using electricity. TEER has been active in the field of particle separation for years and is currently involved in a research project to develop a hybrid particle separator for decentralized biomass boilers. Further information on the RWTH Science Night can be found on the division's website .
