This week, Professor Quicker, our chief engineer Kevin Carl and eight of our research assistants were at the IFAT in Munich. IFAT is the world's leading trade fair for water, sewage, waste and raw materials management and took place from May 30th to June 3rd. On Tuesday, Professor Quicker took part in a discussion panel of the BDE (Bundesverband der Deutschen Entsorgungs-, Wasser- und Rohstoffwirtschaft e.V.), as well as in a joint panel of the VKU (Verband kommunaler Unternehmen e.V.) and the SRH (Stadtreinigung Hamburg). He also gave a lecture at the BDE on Tuesday. On Thursday, Professor Quicker moderated a discussion on the new VDI paper on the subject of plastic waste at the DGAW (German Society for Waste Management).

Further information on the trade fair can be found in the final report on the IFAT's homepage.
